"Happy Spring to everyone! This season is my favourite as it represents new beginnings. It's a time to look to the future with excitement and optimism.
Even in this difficult economic phase, we have the comfort of knowing that it will not last forever. It will take time, but it will recover. We are thrilled to say that to date
we have raised over $26,000 towards our goal of $35,000. This would have not been possible without the support of family, friends, and colleagues and their tireless efforts. And to all the wonderful people who donated we cannot thank you enough!
On a personal note, I've won my battle with cancer and now it's time to forge ahead. With this new lease on Life , my dream of helping the impoverished in Tanzania is going to come true!
In less than six months, I will be returning to Mchukuuni Village on my own for approximately 6-8 months. My immediate plans will be the supply of food, clothing, mosquito nets, fishing equipment, shelter provisions and first aid/medical aid. And of course, the digging of wells and fencing the land are also priorities.
We are so excited about the future! There is so much our charity wants to do; and we will do it one step at a time. Logistics in third world countries can be horrendous, but we have the determination and patience to succeed.
In closing, we would again like to thank everyone who so kindly has supported Wipe Their Tears. We will succeed - one tear at a time! "
Peace, Health & Happiness,
Lorraine Paquette
